Employee Spotlight: Lisa Lindsay

Where do you live and where do you grow up?

I have lived in Virginia for most of my life, despite moving around quite a bit as a child.

When did you join Dignari?

September 2022.

What drew you to work at Dignari? Is there a cultural attribute that you think makes Dignari unique?

What drew me to Dignari was the welcoming and supportive family-like culture between the company and its employees.

What do you love about your job?

I love the opportunity my job allows me to be exposed to many areas of expertise among my colleagues, combined with the ability to make people's lives easier and contribute to a bigger picture every day.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

If I weren’t doing this for a career, I would either work in Human Resources, teach students English as a second language, work in a thrift shop, or do something to satisfy my creativity, like making handmade jewelry in a small downtown store!

What do you like doing when you aren’t working?

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, engaging in meaningful conversation, thrift shopping, going to the movies, trying new local food places, or simply relaxing at home with nostalgic TV shows running in the background.

What’s a fun fact about you that many people may not know?

I find the nature of language and linguistics fascinating. I know a little bit of a lot of languages. But I am not fluent in any of them (yet), except English.

Where’s your favorite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world is home, wherever that may be. Home is wherever I feel the most comfortable.

What is on your bucket list?

To name a few: Solve a Rubik's Cube, learn to skateboard, speak another language fluently, travel outside the U.S., learn to play an instrument, learn to drive a stick shift, read the classics, watch the classics, and become someone who actually enjoys working out.

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?

Everything happens for a reason.

Any other information you would like to share?

I can be pretty introverted, but I enjoy having conversations and will warm up quickly once I get to know someone!
