TECHNOLOGY DELIVERY

lean forward

Increased opportunity, increased complexity

The technology industry continues to shift and advance, leading to unprecedented opportunity. However, with this opportunity comes increased complexity. Today’s organizations are constantly challenged to meet their mission needs and maintain their service level agreements while also being pushed to adopt new technologies, tools, processes, and platforms—cloud migration, application modernization, agile development, DevSecOps, and the list goes on.

It’s at this time where a steady hand is required—a partner that can assist with your most pressing initiatives while also managing ongoing operations and maintenance.

Why do we call it Hamilton?

Earned Respect

Margaret Hamilton is an American computer scientist and systems engineer who led the software engineering division of the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory. NASA credits her with coining the term “software engineering.” Hamilton worked on software development for Apollo 11, the first spacecraft to complete a successful mission that placed humans on the moon in 1969. Hamilton's insistence on thorough testing is credited with the mission's success and safety of its astronauts. When she started using the term software engineering during the early Apollo missions, software development was not taken seriously compared to other engineering, nor was it regarded as a science. Over time, the term has gained the same respect as any other technical discipline. Hamilton received the NASA Exceptional Space Act Award for technical and scientific contributions in 2003 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom award in 2016.

Dignari Hamilton

Technology continues to advance rapidly and organizations must balance day-to-day delivery with the constant pressure of adopting the next big thing. The Dignari Hamilton methodology brings robust, measured, and proven methodologies and capabilities that span the spectrum of modern IT service delivery.

Our overall software development approach is tailored to the needs of our clients and applies standard agile methodologies including:

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology designed for large complex organizations

  • An application migration methodology which provides a balanced approach between modernization objectives and operational sustainment

  • DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes to obtain improved security, improved quality, and faster speed to delivery using highly automated software development pipelines

  • Design Thinking/Service Design principles to develop User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) solutions in a lean, agile environment—our product development process is user-centric, and highly efficient for mission-alignment

  • Scrum for robust software development with pre-defined roles and scheduled sprint cycles

  • Kanban to provide operation and maintenance services for sustaining applications and for analysis and development of rapid prototype solutions

We leverage our methodologies and techniques to apply proven, tailored industry best practices and standards to our service delivery. Our team has successfully implemented these approaches for rapid prototype development for solutions that have been deployed within mission critical operational environments, and we have provided support for large scale programs at CBP, within the DoD, and across other Federal agencies.

Let’s deliver.
