DATA SCIENCE AND ANALYTICS

hone the unknown

Your data is growing

It’s been said that “data is the new oil, and AI is the new electricity.” This is a common phrase used to sum up the state of industry when it comes to the fundamental importance of data and the utility of transformative technology such as artificial intelligence.

The sheer scale of worldwide data is mind boggling. Based on an IDC white paper sponsored by Seagate, the Global Datasphere is expected to grow in new data to 175 zettabytes (175 trillion gigabytes) by 2025.

Additionally, the report states that, “Today, more than 5 billion consumers interact with data every day – by 2025, that number will be 6 billion, or 75% of the world's population. In 2025, each connected person will have at least one data interaction every 18 seconds. Many of these interactions are because of the billions of IoT devices connected across the globe, which are expected to create over 90ZB of data in 2025.”

Why we can help

Dignari not only understands the value of data but also realizes the monumental impacts to an organization that the introduction of bad data or poor data practices can cause. Our experience in solution design, development, and delivery have formed our foundational knowledge of proper data design, engineering, analysis, security, and management.

This is how we do it

Our data science methodology provides organizations with the ability to harness their data within an environment that is constantly evolving and growing in complexity.

Why do we call it Nightingale?

Intelligence Applied

Florence Nightingale’s main claim to fame was as the founder of modern nursing. What most don’t know, though, is that Nightingale was also a brilliant and revered statistician. While caring for patients during the war, Nightingale witnessed the atrocious conditions at a British military hospital in Turkey. The hospital was chaotic, the mortality rate was high, and records were poorly kept. She decided to use statistical analysis to determine best practices at the hospital, and to save lives. Nightingale’s charts weren’t just filled with numbers. It could be argued that she is the godmother of “infographics.” Her most famous design was the “coxcomb,” which is like a more intricate pie chart. The coxcomb is still used to this day.

Dignari Nightingale

Harness the power of data as it continues to grow more complex. Our Dignari Nightingale™ methodology sits at the convergence point of your data and operations to bring focus to the unique intelligence that makes your mission.

Data Science

Our data science practice takes your complex and disparate data and identifies insight to answer your most pressing questions. We design and build new processes for data modeling, prototyping, algorithm development, and custom analysis in order to help with your near term operations and your long term planning.

Data Analytics and Visualization

Our data analytics and visualization capabilities bring clarity to your existing large datasets and provide intelligence, trend analysis, operational awareness, and strategic guidance. We provide advanced visualization capabilities such as visual improvements over prior Book of Knowledge end-of-year snapshots, interactive experiences, trend analysis, interactive maps, and custom tool add-on capabilities.

Data Engineering

Our data engineering team builds the solutions and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data pipelines that feed your organization’s datasphere and enable the application of various data disciplines needed to understand and meet your mission needs.

Data Quality

We research and analyze data across client systems that are critical for day-to-day operations and provide program and data assessments with recommendations for process improvement, data quality, and efficient reporting. We participate in client working groups with policy and system teams to address data quality gaps between transactional data systems and reporting.

Operational Analysis

Our deep understanding of client data allows us to quickly recommend and respond to mission needs and expedite any system changes needed to be able to act on dynamic and evolving data elements. We provide dashboards, daily extracts, and specialized reporting solutions to meet urgent and ever changing needs in “hot topic” areas.

Reporting

We provide standardization, oversight, accountability, transparency, redundancy reduction, and data quality while reporting to senior leadership within government agencies. This includes trend analysis, improved report automation, and collaboration amongst operational components. We are trusted by our clients to provide mission critical and high profile requests for information from government entities (e.g. White House, Congress) as well as external stakeholders (e.g. media, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), industry).

Automation

Dignari is leading the charge in bringing emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to our clients. We utilize tools and techniques to optimize data analytics pipelines and to provide the most robust and repeatable data reporting environment to meet our client’s organizational needs.

“The last two months have been demanding for our data teams, we’ve been pulled into multiple priority efforts associated with many tasks, most recently the Coronavirus. We would be at a significant disadvantage without your team’s efforts. This week the Dignari team supported a task that ran till near midnight. They didn’t have to keep working but did so without hesitation or ask. I hope things return to normal soon but wanted to pass along my sincere thanks and appreciation!”
