Mobility

Mobility has historically been synonymous with an organization’s approach to mobile device management (e.g. mobile phones) and phone apps. However, with emerging health concerns like COVID-19 and constantly evolving and expanding platforms and capabilities, mobility means much more and has become the primary computing mechanism for a large majority of organizations. This includes complementary technologies such as remote work environments, 5G, tablets, and a variety of wearables.

We understand the need to untether your operations from a central location and to enable flexible and dynamic access to information. Dignari places mobility at the core of the work we do. Our Emerging Technology team performs research and development with edge processing, ruggedized handheld computers, body worn devices, and mobile application development. Our User Experience experts design modern application interfaces that provide mission functionality with optimized workflows.

We believe all applications should be driven first and foremost by the mobile experience and strive to identify opportunities in our clients’ operations to take advantage of mobility to optimize the mission and better serve all stakeholders.

Client real world challenges

  • Enabling flexible operations for front-line missions

  • Improving communication and accessibility with external stakeholders

  • Introducing more efficient processing and advanced data collection

  • Integrating emerging technology capabilities to improve security and user authentication

Dignari solution

In designing mobile solutions for our clients, we utilize our human centered design service methodology, bringing together mission owners, system owners and other stakeholders to understand the goals and underlying constraints. Working in tandem with business owners, we quickly simulate mobile experiences to gain feedback on an optimized process and to ensure the integrity of the mission is maintained. The convergence of capabilities between design and development provides polished prototypes that may be used not only for the client’s functional evaluation but also for demonstration and socialization for stakeholder buy-in.

As we iteratively gain feedback , our emerging technologies team will also extend capabilities to include central monitoring components of devices and operational dashboards to understand usage and outcomes. Interrelated mobile capabilities developed and analyzed by our emerging technology team are also used to support mission decisions. For example, our team has provided Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) evaluation for face liveness on mobile phones, assessed geolocation spoofing vulnerabilities, as well as analyzed advanced technologies such as permissioned blockchain options. As a vendor agnostic company we recommend the right suite of capabilities to satisfy the mission need.

Outcomes for our customers

  • Polished operational prototypes available for real-world analysis, demonstration, and socialization with stakeholders.

  • Ancillary capabilities added to the base prototype by our team provided a spark for the client to introduce additional innovative technologies and approaches.

  • Related research presented potential vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.

  • Reusable code for production delivery of mobile capabilities once validated, accelerating time to the field.
