Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM)

ICAM is the set of disciplines that enables agencies to grant individuals access to authorized resources at the right time and for the right reason. Dignari has broad ICAM experience gained by developing, delivering, and managing solutions for the largest Federal identity management programs. Our experience working with multiple issuance providers and diverse hosting infrastructures allows us to offer our clients a unique and unbiased perspective to address their mission needs.

Client real world challenges

  • Strengthen the Federal government’s information and physical security

  • Enable information sharing and safeguarding within the Federal government and with external partners

  • Enable agencies to securely and efficiently deliver mission services to their stakeholders

Dignari solution

Dignari Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) architected, developed, and managed the GSA USAccess program, and continue to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) HSPD-12 programs.

For each program we work with agency stakeholders to develop innovation roadmaps, propose enhancements to the current offering, and provide operational support of the existing solution. Our experts have implemented identity and credential management capabilities across all major programs including GSA USAccess, DoD RAPIDS and DHS PIV. Our experts also developed the original PIV Federation attribute exchange (system-to-system interface based on the Architecture Working Group specification).

More recently Dignari rearchitected and developed a new scheduling system to address a transformation initiative for the DoD CAC, integrating within the existing IAM solution. We also developed prototypes in support of DHS and DoD that use face recognition and the PIV/CAC to authenticate identity, and upon success interface to a door controller to allow entry.

Outcomes for our customers

  • Gained numerous accolades and recognition of program contributions to the Federal government

  • Provided over 100 agencies, boards, and commissions with interoperable PIV credentials for logical and physical access control

  • Transformation of digital identity with a focus on innovation
