If you’ve spent any time working on border security, the name Ronald Vitiello is one you will quickly recognize. Today we will be announcing that Mr. Vitiello has joined the Dignari board of advisors. I am so excited to make this announcement, as I know many of you are to hear the news. His experience will help us advance our strategic vision for growth and bring even more value to the high-quality work that we deliver for our clients.

If you haven’t been paying as close attention to Mr. Vitiello’s career, let me give you some background.

He began his 34 years of government service in Laredo, Texas, with the U.S. Border Patrol in 1985. He was one of the key contributors to the unification of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the creation of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and was named Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) in February 2017. During his illustrious career with DHS, he also served as CBP’s Acting Deputy Commissioner and the Acting Director of U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

In April 2019, Mr. Vitiello retired concluding more than three decades of public service. Lucky for us, His retirement was just from government service, and not from the mission that we work every day to advance.

In the press release we’ll issue later today, Mr. Vitiello offers this quote, “The innovative team at Dignari is delivering transformative solutions that make a difference for their clients, including my former colleagues. I’m thrilled to lend my experience to advance solutions for a mission I’m so passionate about.”

As you all know, our goal has always been to include the best and the brightest leaders in law enforcement and national security within our business, that’s what makes today’s announcement so exciting. I hope you’ll join me in welcoming Mr. Vitiello to the Dignari family.
