Person Processing

Client Real World Challenges

  • Maintain traveler facilitation while improving security

  • Test and evaluate multiple biometric vendors and modalities

  • Conduct operations with minimal impact to traveler experience

  • Measure technical feasibility and human factors

Dignari Solution

Dignari helped our client analyze existing operations using business process modeling and system engineering and analysis. We identified areas for improvement and opportunities for the injection of innovative technologies in a new operational domain. We assisted in the design, development, deployment, and analysis of a multi-modal multi-phase biometric system experiment in challenging operational conditions and conducted extensive analysis of solution outputs.

Outcome for the Customer

  • A viable biometric modality was identified based on extensive data and system analysis

  • Adoption within various modes of operation across the United States

  • Positioned client to meet Congressional mandates and enhance overall national security posture

Vehicle Processing

Client Real World Challenges

Conduct passive biometric verification of vehicle occupants Minimized wait times and improved security Maintain existing vehicle processing service level agreements

Dignari Solution

Dignari has extensive experience with vehicle processing, including nationwide deployment and management of License Plate Reader (LPR) systems and vehicle detection technology. Combining this experience with our deep biometric domain knowledge, we were able to provide our client with support in selecting and implementing the appropriate technology for their unique use case. This included assisting with the initial academic research into optical technology and vendor capability analysis. We also supported the systems integrator during testing and development of a solution and provided deployment and analysis support for the field technology pilot.

Outcome for the Customer

  • Piloted system in the field and demonstrated positive findings while improving the security of the overall system and maintaining operational throughput

  • Higher biometric match rates were realized

  • System optimized for further expansion and analysis
