Digital Identity

Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM)

ICAM is the set of disciplines that allows an agency to enable the right individual to access the right resource at the right time for the right reason. Dignari has broad ICAM experience gained by developing, delivering, and managing solutions for the largest Federal identity management programs. This experience with multiple issuance providers and diverse hosting infrastructures allows us to offer our clients a unique and unbiased perspective to address their mission needs.

Client Real World Challenges

  • Strengthen the Federal government’s information and physical security

  • Enable information sharing and safeguarding within the Federal government and with external partners

  • Enable agencies to securely and efficiently deliver mission services to their stakeholders

Dignari Solution

Dignari Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) architected, developed, and managed the GSA USAccess program, and continue to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) HSPD-12 programs.

For each program we worked with agency stakeholders to develop innovation roadmaps, proposed enhancements to the current offering, and provided operational support of the existing solution. The identity and credential management capabilities we provided for GSA USAccess in 2007 continue to be used today, and our SME developed the original PIV Federation attribute exchange (system-to-system interface based on the Architecture Working Group specification).

For the CAC program we rearchitected and developed a new scheduling system to address a transformation initiative, integrating within the existing IAM solution. We developed prototypes in support of DHS and DoD that use face recognition and the user PIV/CAC to authenticate identity, and upon success interface to a door controller to allow entry.

Dignari continues to provide innovative approaches to service our clients that allow them to better meet their mission objectives.

Outcome for the Customer

Numerous accolades and recognition of program contributions to the Federal government Currently provides over 100 agencies, boards, and commissions with an interoperable PIV credential for logical and physical access control. Transformation of digital identity with a focus on innovation – Dignari is supporting both these initiatives.
